Katy Perry has always been known for individual and outrageous style. From California Girls to Roar, Katy Perry's identity has varied in many ways. But what if Katy Perry's style is almost a mirror image of someone else's. Like most other artists, they tend to have an inspiration whether it be someone like Rambo or Audrey Hepburn (first people that came to mind haha). It may be common for an artist/singer/song writer to do that, but not if the inspiration be another artist/singer/song writer.

Lorde. Lorde is a New Zealand artist recently come to fame, with almost 4 top hits in both New Zealand and America. Just like Katy Perry, Lordes style is very individual. But not so much anymore. Ever since Lordes international debut, Katy Perry has asked Lorde to open for her concert (which Lorde turned down) and made some pretty big alterations to her style. With Katys new album releasing soon, and a new perfume just released, Katy has turned from a girl in candy suits, to one in designer jewels and crowns.

If you have a scroll through pics of Lorde you will notice her independant 'Gothic chic' sense of style. Now then if you search through recent pics of Katy Perry, you will notice the similarities in what they wear. This has only ever just occurred due to Lordes big appearance in the music industry about 5-6 months ago.

But in conclusion, Katy, stop copying Lorde.
