I'm literally sitting down eating wontons whilst I write this post, so life is pretty awesome right now.

So, i've been thinking about doing this post for a while now and I've finally worked up the effort (and courage) to do it.

Designer of Miu Miu and Prada, Miuccia Prada is one of the most influential and successful fashion designers in the industry. Season after season both Miu Miu and Prada succeed to present creative and individual collections not only admired for it's design and structure, but the story and theme behind it all. The F/W 2014 collection struck my eye when researching some of the collections designed by Miu Miu since it's founding in 1993. The use of texture and colour throughout this collection are all individually unique yet unify together coherently. The colour palette is far from restricted yet works surprisingly well. From colour blocking reds, to blues, to metallic pale pinks, all of the colour and texture throughout this collection work harmoniously.

After looking over this collection I discovered the large reference to the 70's. The fur coats, knit jumpers, and quilted jackets all unite together representing the theme of the 70's. Although the reference of the 70's doesn't span across the whole collection, other influences appear through the designs as well. Rain jackets and gum boots are commonly seen through the collection along with an added twist. The shoes in this collection definitely stand out from the crowd but in a uniquely good way.  The transparent boots in this collection are quite unlike anything I have ever seen before. Not only the shape of the boot, but the heel and materials used are both futuristic and industrial. From ponte heels, to quilted ski-like boots, the shoes in this collection contrast off each other. Along with transparent gumboots, transparent rain jackets complete the collection with a water-proof touch. The textural contrast between the transparency of the rain coats and the metallic shine of the paisley ponte shoes work unimaginably well together and only due to the tactical creations of Miuccia Prada.

I highly recommend you have a closer look into this collection as I absolutely love it and hope you will too. The diversity among this collection is visually interesting and never succeeds to bore.
